Jim Hopson - trombone, tuba, low brass, arranger, assistant engineer
Jim is an extremely versatile session musician who plays the entire low brass family of instruments. He is also an accomplished arranger and composer for all types of ensembles.
Malcolm Aiken - trumpet, flugelhorn, arranger, producer
Top call Trumpeter and horn arranger Malcolm Aiken stay busy as a recording and touring artist as well as in-demand industry consultant through his work with Canadian record label TrebleFive.
Ben Henriques - saxophones, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, arranger, engineer
Ben Henriques studied Jazz at McGill University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance. Since then he has made a name for himself on the Canadian Jazz scene as a musician, bandleader, recording engineer and an educator. He has shared the stage with many Jazz greats including Joe Lovano, Phil Dwyer, Dave Liebman, Andre White and many more.
Dominic Conway - tenor saxophone
Vancouver-based musician Dominic Conway has been playing the saxophone for over 20 years. With roots in rock n’ roll and rhythm & blues music, he has developed into a sought after collaborator and sideman in a wide variety of genres, both on stage and in studio.
Brent Mah - saxophones, clarinet, flute
Brent Mah is an in demand saxophonist in Vancouver. His highly sought after sound can be heard playing anything from Jazz, R&B and Salsa to Orchestral and Classical music, and everything in between. He holds an bachelors degree in jazz performance from Capilano University and a Masters degree in Jazz Saxophone from Rutgers University.
Mark D’Angelo - trumpet, flugelhorn
Mark D'Angelo holds a Master of Music Degree from the University of McGill. Mark is currently Principal Trumpet of the Kamloops Symphony and has also performed with the Vancouver Symphony, Vancouver New Music, Victoria Symphony, CBC Radio Orchestra, Thunder Bay Symphony, and the American Brass Quintet. As a sideman Mark has performed with Ben Heppner, Ashley MacIsaac, Lara St. John, Grammy winner Lila Downs, The Celtic Tenors, Tony Award winner Idena Menzel, and can be heard on the Juno nominated album “The Show Must Go” Universal, 2009.
